February 9th AGM and ‘Who Am I?’ A valuable opportunity to choose or become part of your committee for the next 12 months. (Well Mother loved me!). Competition:- Please bring along a baby photo of yourself for a match the face competition |

March 9th Etched Brass Jewellery Peter Dawson will be demonstrating the art of etching and have some lovely items for sale Competition:- Do your own brass rubbing on either material or paper. |

April 6th Easter Treasure Hunt A time to use those ‘little grey cells’ a simple set of questions will guide you to your prize ! Competition:- A hand decorated egg |

May 11th Resolutions Night Always a popular and lively meeting with time to discuss and evaluate the latest resolutions on offer. Competition:-How would you change the world? Give us one idea that you would like to implement to help change the world and why. |

June 8th ‘Below Stairs’ Local Antiques expert Stuart Hoffgartner will be giving us the do’s and don’ts of the antiques world Competition:- Bring along your oldest precious piece and please, No husbands!! |

July 13th Summer Garden Party This year Wendy will be our hostess at Dores Road in Swindon. Transport will be arranged and ladies are asked to bring one small plate of something ‘nice’. Competition:- A garden buttonhole. Use your garden flowers to make a buttonhole to wear at the meeting. |

September 14th ‘When National Trust Houses Are Put To Bed’ We welcome back Mr & Mrs Sheppard giving a talk and showing slides of what happens when the doors close on National trust houses. Competition:- A picture of a National Trust house. You can bring either a photograph or draw or paint whatever your skills are. |

October 12th ‘Optical Illusions’ The lovely Dr Erickson will be entertaining us with one of his fascinating subjects, Ladies prepare to be amazed! |

|
Competition:- ‘Squash Art’ No not quite what you think. Have you grown a strange shaped squash? Or perhaps you are clever at carving shapes into vegetables, If all else fails, (did I hear a groan or two?) we will accept bought items if they fit the category. |

November 9th International Night Our chosen country this year will be Italy. There wont be a competition this month but members are asked to bring along any memorabilia including flags, posters etc. Don’t forget to look the part too and dress accordingly. (optional) A few Italian nibbles will be served and we may swap the tea & coffee for Chianti!! |

December 14th A Christmas Dinner Our Christmas party is yet to be finalised and details plus the venue will be discussed at a later date. Please see your newsletter for final arrangements or call the secretary. Thank you. |
