Nobody knows who is behind this fantastic scheme, or what is going to be done with the bomber when it gets here from Blackpool.  Some sources say that the plan is to build a gantry over the main road, fix the bomber to the top of it, and hope this will act as a traffic calming vehicle for the village. Sources close to the Parish Council say that this is a load of nonsense, but then again, they could be hiding their cards and not telling us the full story.

And the Youth Club has been mentioned as wanting to place it in the recreation ground for the village's kids to use as a giant climbing frame. Nick Davies, chair of the Youth Club, said it was news to him.  However, he said he thought it was a great idea, and that whoever was going to tow it down from Blackpool was an inspiration to the village. He sensibly added that whoever is responsible really ought to liaise with police along the route, as it would be a wide load and could possibly cause some congestion.
